Museum of Ice Cream NYC Unveils a New Chapter of Play on February 4

The Three-Story SoHo Flagship Returns with New Interactive Experiences and Massively Expanded Spaces for Play, Creativity, and Celebration

NEW YORK, NY | January 7, 2026

Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) announced today that its New York City flagship will debut a newly reimagined experience beginning February 4, 2026, marking a major new chapter for one of downtown Manhattan’s most iconic immersive destinations. To bring this expanded vision to life, the SoHo location will temporarily close on January 20, 2026, reopening with dramatically enhanced worlds designed for deeper play, creativity, and connection.

Since opening its permanent SoHo home in 2019, Museum of Ice Cream NYC has welcomed nearly 2 million guests, becoming a go-to destination for families, date nights, celebrations, and visitors seeking joyful, interactive experiences rooted in art, play, and ice cream. The reimagined flagship builds on that legacy with significantly expanded spaces, reimagined fan-favorite installations, and brand new interactive moments that invite movement, imagination, and shared discovery across all ages.

“This moment matters,” said Manish Vora, CEO of Museum of Ice Cream. “New York City is where Museum of Ice Cream truly became a museum, not just of ice cream, but of play, connection, and culture. This reimagined flagship honors that legacywhile raising the bar for what an immersive museum can be. We are investing deeply in downtown Manhattan and creating something worthy of the city’s creative energy, its families, and its role as the heartbeat of global culture.”

The refreshed Museum of Ice Cream NYC delivers more hands-on creativity, more elevated ice cream offerings, and more imaginative cocktails, alongside high-energy exploration across its three-story footprint. Designed to welcome both families and adults, the new experience offers a joyful escape from the everyday while reinforcing MOIC’s position as a leader in experiential entertainment.

The New York reopening reflects Museum of Ice Cream’s continued global growth, with eight locations worldwide and new flagship destinations opening next in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Orlando.
