Mikey Likes It Ice Cream flavors NYC

Mikey Likes It Ice Cream at Museum of Ice Cream – New York

Meet Michael “Mikey” Cole, the man behind Mikey Likes It Ice Cream. This isn’t your average scoop shop – it’s a pop culture paradise, swirling with Mikey’s passion for both cooking and community. His journey into the frosty world of ice cream began when he found his Aunt Lucy’s cookbook after she passed and decided to experiment with her ice cream recipes. This led him to craft and perfect his recipes long before the doors of his shop opened in 2013. All of Mikey’s hard work over the years has caught the eye of celebs and big-name shows alike, making his creations a star-studded sensation!

Mikey’s shop is a whole lot more than a place to get your ice cream fix. It’s a beacon of positivity and empowerment right in the heart of Harlem and the Lower East Side. Mikey’s not just scooping ice cream; he’s serving up change! Whether he’s dishing out free meals to the community or rewarding students with free scoops for stellar grades, Mikey’s heart is as big as his flavors are bold. It’s more than just ice cream; it’s about sweetening life for everyone around, one scoop at a time!

If you’re inspired by Mikey’s story, visit Museum of Ice Cream – New York, where we will be serving three of his mouth-watering flavors!

Ida’s Ice Cream at Museum of Ice Cream – Chicago

Ida’s Artisan Ice Cream is more than just a scoop of delight; it’s a tale of turning challenges into opportunities. It started as a fun activity to do with her kids, a way to stir up some joy and learn something new together. Little did Ida know, the ice cream machine she bought would become the cornerstone of her future. In a twist of fate, she found herself laid off from her job, right in the middle of a pandemic. But Ida, with her indomitable spirit, saw this as a chance to spread the joy of homemade ice cream with others. Practicing and perfecting each batch, using only the finest ingredients, her kitchen soon became a place of magic and endless possibilities.

Ida’s journey of creamy creativity didn’t just stay within the walls of her home. She began sharing her creations with local churches, friends, family and anyone in need of a smile. But her impact goes beyond satisfying your sweet tooth. Ida has always believed in giving back to the community. With a heart as generous as her servings, she’s been employing young people from North Lawndale and surrounding areas of Chicagoland, not just offering them jobs, but also nurturing their growth through workforce development and entrepreneurial training. This summer, as Ida opens the doors to her first brick-and-mortar shop, it’s set to become a hub of community, creativity and connection – a true testament to the power of ice cream in bringing people together and fostering bright futures.

Step into Patra Lee’s Kitchen and you’ll taste more than just ice cream – you’ll savor a rich legacy of culinary artistry and passion. Rebecca Swindle, the heart and soul behind these delectable creations, infuses every scoop with the joy and wisdom passed down from her great-grandmother, Patra Lee Jones. Rebecca’s ice cream journey took a leap forward when she enrolled in the Penn State Ice Cream Short Course, leading to the birth of Patra Lee’s Kitchen 1848.
